Rice

Ingredients:

1 cup white or jasmine rice

2 cups water

½ tsp salt (optional)

Directions:

Rinse rice in a bowl with water, swirl, then pour off the cloudy water (use your hand or tilt the bowl carefully). Repeat 2–3 times.

In a pot, combine rice, 2 cups water, and salt.

Bring to a boil uncovered over medium-high heat.

Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover tightly with a lid, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let sit covered for 10 minutes.

Fluff with a fork and serve.

Pro Tip: Once you put the lid on don't take it off again until you're done and ready to serve or store.
